Rancho Bernardo, an older cousin to Poway, is the northernmost residential community within the City of San Diego. Poway is our favorite community in San Diego. Known as the ‘city in the country,’ it prides itself on preserving over half of the city’s 39.4 square miles as dedicated open space. Poway is a family, suburban area known for its acclaimed school system. The city incorporated in 1980 and is ranked as the safest city in San Diego County.
